Oh-Em-Gee! Have you tried rice water in your beauty/skin care regimen yet? It is by far the most useful and affordable health hack I've tried yet!
How To Prepare:
Add rice and 2x as much water as the instructions suggest
Bring to a boil (until the water turns a milky white)
Drain and save excess water
Allow to cool
Use and store excess in fridge ( leaving the rice water out for long periods of time will expedite the spoiling process and cause the water to smell)
*There are a few opinions on how to prepare the rice. But I believe that boiling the rice extract more nutrients than just soaking the rice does.
Bonus tip
I like putting my rice water into a spray bottle. Using the spray bottle makes using and storing the rice water easier. I also like to store mine in the fridge after use. I keep my rice water for up to 3 days before making a fresh batch.
How I Use Rice Water & The Results I've noticed
On my face- Bihhhh... what pores? Skin is tight and glowing. I've also noticed that my skin has been getting fairer and blemishes lightening.
On my bikini area after a shave or wax- The waxing or shaving of the bikini area sometimes leaves bumps/inflammations that sometimes lead to dark spots. I have found that since doing Goddess-Like Skincare Routine and implementing the rice water onto this area, the results were almost instantaneous. In a 2 day period, inflammations had diminished completely and any dark spots have began to clear up.
On my entire body after a shower before bed- Its widely known that skincare regimens are best done at night before bed. The body heals and restores itself be when the body is a rest. Just like the results with my face and bikini area, I noticed smoother skin after a few night uses. But I also put on an intense moisturizer after the rice water is completely absorbed by my skin.
What Are You Waiting For?
This has to be the most inexpensive hack yet! Most of us have rice sitting in the cabinets just waiting to be put to good use! But don't just take my word for it. Do a bit of your own research too! I'm currently experiment with rinsing my hair with rice water after a wash. I'll let you know after some time if I noticed any changes.
